Josue' Martinez:
 
Education - Bachelor of Science - Law Enforcement, Hardin-Simmons University in 1974 (Distinguished Military Graduate).      Juris Doctor - University of Texas at Austin in December 1983
 
Military Service -  served 7 years on active duty with the U.S. Army in the Military Police Corps and attained the rank of Captain.  Service included a three year assignment in the Federal Republic of Germany.  Attended the Airborne (parachutist) and  Military Police Officer Basic/Advanced Courses (9 month instruction). 
 
Federal Service - served 20 years as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  Was assigned to Organized Crime/Drugs, Violent Crimes/Major Offenders, Domestic Terrorism, White Collar Crimes, Public Corruption, and Counterintelligence investigations in New Haven, Connecticut, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Laredo and San Antonio, Texas, as well as numerous domestic and overseas temporary assignments.  Served as a hostage negotiator (1999 - Cuban inmate crisis, St. Martinville, La. jail; 2000 - Archbishop Patrick Flores hostage taking, San Antonio Archdiocese Chancery; & 2000 - Jeffery Schilling kidnapping, Philippines), undercover agent, pilot (Private Pilot license - Instrument), Legal Advisor, Employee Assistance Program Counselor, Assistant Inspector (Shooting Incident Review Team), and Supervisory Special Agent. Attended the Executive Development Institute Leadership Course.
 
Following retirement from the FBI, opened a general law practice in Boerne, Texas.
